Description

Built-up roofing is so named because the roofing membrane is created on the roof by using alternating layers of asphalt saturated felts or fiberglass mat roofing plies, “building up” the thickness according to the project roofing specification.

Benefits

Built-up roofing (BUR) has the benefit of decades of satisfactory performance. With correct application and maintenance, it represents one of the most cost efficient systems available. BUR can be used in both new construction projects and on existing buildings.
